BLIA AGM & Gala Dinner – Friday 22nd May

Join us for one of the most anticipated events on the BLIA calendar — the AGM & Gala Dinner, taking place on 22 May 2026 in Melbourne.

The day will begin with the Annual General Meeting at the Origin Energy Melbourne office, followed by an evening Gala Dinner at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park.

Bringing together leaders and professionals from across the bulk liquids supply chain, the event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with industry peers, reflect on the year that’s been, and look ahead to what’s next for the sector.

This year’s Gala Dinner will feature a strong speaker lineup, including Richard Welch, Shadow Minister for Industry, Manufacturing, Innovation, AI, and Digital Economy, along with a special fireside-style conversation with Callan Ward, sharing insights on leadership, resilience and high performance.

2025 Conference & General Meeting

The BLIA Conference 2025, held in November, brought together industry leaders, experts and professionals from across the bulk liquids supply chain for a highly engaging and insightful program.

The conference featured a diverse lineup of speakers covering key topics impacting the industry, including market trends, regulatory developments, safety, sustainability and the evolving global energy landscape. Attendees gained valuable insights, practical perspectives and the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on the challenges and opportunities shaping the sector.

Beyond the formal program, the conference provided a strong platform for networking, collaboration and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the importance of connection across our industry.

2024 Conference

This year, under a new conference format, the BLIA welcomed Dugald Saunders MP and David Layzell MP as VIP guests. This allowed them to hear firsthand about the challenges facing the bulk liquids industry. Speakers Shahana McKenzie from Bioenergy Australia and Rowly Hirst from Relate Research and Technology Co. shared their expert insights on biofuels and generative AI. BLIA members and guests then enjoyed a delightful lunch cruise aboard the MV Harbour Spirit, taking in the beautiful sights of the Harbour.
